Join our lab
We are actively seeking motivated graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, or visiting scholars interested in interdisciplinary research in immunology, aging, epigenomics and single cell biology. Please send us your CV and cover letter describing your background and research interests.
Graduate students
We welcome graduate students to our team from two programs at UConn Health Center (UCHC): UConn Health PhD in Biomedical Science and UConn Health MD PhD program. If you are interested in applying for these PhD programs, please check their websites. If you are already accepted into these programs and want to do a rotation project in the Ucar lab, please contact Dr. Ucar.
Postdoctoral trainees
Jackson Laboratory has a very active postdoctoral trainee program that provides a great scientific environment combined with outstanding benefits (Retirement plan, comprehensive medical benefits including generous fertility program).
JAX provides a great research environment for postdoctoral trainees with access to cutting-edge genomic technologies as well as diverse courses and training opportunities across both campuses.
Join our studies in aging
If you are interested in joining our aging and vaccination studies as a donor by generously providing samples, please reach out to Dr. Ucar or Dr. Kuchel. These studies are conducted in collaboration with UCONN Center on Aging.
